Community Resource: Caregiver Network & Support Group

Come join us the 2nd Thursday of every Month from 4:30pm-5:30pm In The John McCann Board Room to network with Caregivers like yourself.  Anyone is welcome.  You don’t have to have a relative at Fort Hudson to attend nor actively be in the caregiver role.  You might be preparing yourself to become a caregiver or missing the role of being a primary caregiver.  Topics for discussion will include but will not be limited to: How to deal with “ambiguous loss,” family dynamics, how to engage with your loved one with dementia, how to communicate through the diagnosis of Parkinsons and how to transition from the primary caregiver role to one of many in a facility like Fort Hudson.

Come to share your own experiences and listen to those who need to be heard.  Together we will help one other.

“There are four kinds of people in the world:  Those who have been caregivers; Those who currently are caregivers; Those who will be caregivers; And those who will need caregivers.”  -Rosalynn Carter, Former First Lady

Caregiving is a truly journey that should not be ridden alone and we’re here to help!  Come join us!
