The “5 for 25 VEGETABLE Challenge” – Sign-up Starts Thursday!

Are you up for a challenge?  Fort Hudson is inviting staff to participate in a “5 for 25 vegetable challenge”.  This program, led by Ken Burl and Sherri McQuinn encourages a healthier lifestyle by eating smart. [5 vegetables a day for 25 days]. Success is EASY and this program is FREE!  Here’s how the program works…

– Thursday, May 28 11am – 2:30PM.  Stop by the Info Table outside the birdcage on the main level of the nursing home. You can sign up, get your T-shirt, and take your tracking form. *if you cannot make that time, you can also sign up through Friday June 5th at 12 noon by contacting the dietician office 747-2811 x274.

– Thursday, June 4 education info entitled “What is a portion? Tips and Tricks to Eat 5 vegetable servings a Day”.

– Thursday, June 11 education info entitled “Filling up on Veggies Without Emptying Your Wallet”.

– Thursday, June 18 education info entitled “Quick and Easy Cooking Tips”

-Thursday, June 25 education info entitled “Veggie Recipes: Why be Ordinary? Be Extraordinary!”

-Wednesday, July 1 & Thursday July 2 – submit your tracking form to the Dietician Office or HR Office.  Returning your completed form will make you eligible to win a “yet to be decided” prize!
