Volunteer Recognition Week – April 10-16, 2011

Fort Hudson is proud of many things — one of the greatest of which is a dedicated group of individuals who volunteer on our campus.  Volunteering is the practice in which people work on behalf of others, with the intention of improving quality of life.

The volunteers of Fort Hudson are amazing.  They are committed, compassionate, caring, and in the past year alone have provided well over 1500 hours collectively!   It is easy to say that they truly touch the lives of residents in so many ways…from keeping us entertained, to lending a listening ear or a hand to hold, bringing in ‘man’s best friend’ for a visit, offering communion, or serving a warm cup of tea.  Our 60+ volunteers will assist in almost every way to brighten a resident’s day.

Fort Hudson recognized this special group of people with a breakfast held in their honor on April 13, 2011.   On behalf of Fort Hudson, HAT’s OFF to you, our volunteers!  We sincerely appreciate YOU!
