On Wednesday August 17th, the Washington County Health Committee convened to begin the review process of proposals to acquire the home care programs as well as Pleasant Valley. Fort Hudson was one of six organizations submitting a proposal (only 3 were for home care programs alone). Our proposal included acquisition of the certified home health agency, long term home health care program and hospice. We’re excited to report that our proposal was reviewed favorably, and will be invited to participate in the next step of the process.
Over the next few weeks, the Committee will be requesting additional information related to our plans. We are excited at the potential of expanding our exceptional home care programs already in place, and continuing the tradition of caring for the residents of Washington County.
